- Sretan imendan svima koji ga danas slave (Melkior, Baltazar)
- Sveta tri kralja su kraljevi koji su se po evanđelju došli pokloniti Isusu nakon rođenja.
- Zovu se Baltazar, Melkior i Gašpar (u Bibliji se ne navode imena).
- Prema evanđelju došli su s Istoka, pratili su zvijezdu repaticu, Betlehemsku zvijezdu.
- Isusu su darovali tri dara: tamjan (kao Bogu), zlato (kao kralju) i plemenitu mast, smirnu (kao čovjeku).
- Tri kralja su predstavnici poganskih naroda.
- Njihove rilikvije(posmrtne ostatke je našla Jelena Križarica i preko Carigrada i Milana su dospjele u Njemački Koln, gdje se i danas nalaze u najljepšoj njemačkoj katedrali.
- Melkior je zaštitnik putnika i Svjetskog dana mladih, a Baltazar oboljelih od epilepsije.
